2. Akbar Cocktail Bar and Lounge, London. The owner of the Redfort Restaurant wanted to attract a wider audience and the younger crowd found on it’s Soho doorstep. Akbar was created as a moody cocktail bar within the basement of the building, where customers can gather for pre-dinner drinks or spend the evening relaxing in one of the intimate vaulted seating areas. Its success has meant consistent features in London’s Eating & Drinking style guides. |
